名师谈初中生英语写作教学

培养英语写作能力是初中英语教学的重要目标之一。然而,很多初中学生在英语习作中普遍存在着阐述不清、文笔混乱、词汇空乏、措辞不当、中文式英语等问题。如何处理这些普遍存在的问题,英语教师有各自不同的见解和解决办法。对此,笔者认为写作教学应该是贯穿于整个英语教学全过程的教学实践,可以从下面几个方面进行写作教学与写作训练。人教版新目标教材中指出,每个单元的编排都要从听力教学开始,教师在进行听力教学时,可引导学生边听边记。

其一是记关键词,如时间、地点、人物、事件等。

其二是记关键短语,主题句等。

其三是听完后说出故事梗概,不要很长,两三句即可。

这样既训练了听力,也进行了写作的辅助训练。

基于新目标教材的要求,教师可根据学生的实际情况,分析教材内容,在进行对话训练时找准切入点,引导学生完成由说到写的自然过渡。例如,在九年级第一单元的采访这一环节时,要求学生在小组内边问问题边做笔记,然后把采访的结果报告给全班同学,这样在口语训练的同时也进行了写作训练。

量,促使他们积累写作材料。此外,改写也是提高写作的有效方法。改写包括对短文的改写和缩写,也包括对话、图标和短文间的转换,这种训练方式对学生写作能力要求较高。对此,教师首先要选材,要选那些贴近生活、贴近社会、贴近教材的与学生所掌握的词汇和语法难度相适应的内容,然后引导学生在尊重原文或者在不改变作者意图的前提下,可以用文章中的原句,当然更好是使用自己的话,灵活地进行各种转换。

总之,写作能力的培养与提高,不是一朝一夕就能办到的,应贯穿于英语教学的全过程,教师要由浅入深、由易到难,循序渐进地引导学生进行写作训练,使学生感到有话想说,有话可说,实事求是地表达自己的感受和情感,从而逐渐提高写作能力

英文写作之“三大黄金定律”

人们进行写作的一般目的是向读者传递信息、介绍情况,或阐述作者对某一主题所持的观点,用英文写作也不例外。为让读者更好地理解所传递的信息,使用英文进行写作时,行文一定要注意做到清晰、准确、简洁这三点,这就是公认的英文写作“三大黄金定律”。 定律之一:清晰

文章的清晰体现在读者能够很容易理解作者讲述的内容。为保证所写文章清晰明了,写作时有两点一定要加以注意:

一是越确切具体越好。在这一方面,作者首先应明确了解自己所要传达的信息、读者的范围及特点,然后再选择相关信息,采用某种文体格式传递给读者。也就是说,写作必须要以特定读者为对象,以让读者能够明确接受作者所传递的信息为宗旨。尽量以客观陈述为主,少主观臆测推断;尽量明确无误表达,少模棱两可评论,这是使文章清晰确切的写作准则。 二是组织结构富有逻辑性。文章结构富有逻辑性会让读者很轻松地读懂作者要表达的思想内容。文章的这种逻辑性可以通过采用从一般到具体、从“全景”到细节、从问题的定义到分析再到提出解决方案等多种方式来体现。

定律之二:准确

要使文章语义表达准确,首先要尽量不要在学术文章中出现“大概、也许”之类模棱两可的词语,避免出现容易让人困惑和误解的词语和表达法;其次,要尽量避免使用那些有多种含义的词语和表达法。例如:singapore is a fine country. 这句话中的fine一词有多种含义,

如“好的、细小的、罚款”等。日常生活中这样使用没有问题,但在写作时一定要避免使用这种容易产生歧义的多义词。

定律之三:简洁

直截了当、切中要点是保证文章简洁的最好写作形式。与中文写作相比,英文写作非常强调直奔主题、简单明快的写作风格。例如,在写作一个段落时,常常将概括段落主要内容的主题句(topic sentence)作为段落的首句,以便让读者迅速明确本段要讲述的内容。另外,写作时尽量将每个句子写得简短一些,少用或不用冗长的复合句。切记:短小精练的句子表达的意思才强而有力。

英文 e-mail 的写作要领

首先,必须要在标题(heading)栏的“收件人(to)”框中输入收信人的e-mail 地址。“主题(subject)”框的内容应简明地概括信的内容,短的可以是一个单词,如greetings;长的可以是一个名词性短语,也可以是完整句,但长度一般不超过35个字母。“主题”框的内容切忌含糊不清。像news about the meeting 这样的表达,应改为tomorrow's meeting canceled。一般来说,只要将位于句首的单词和专有名词的首字母大写即可。另外一种较为正规的格式可将除了少于5个字母的介词、连接词或冠词之外的每一个单词的首字母大写,如:new e-mail address notification. 视信的内容是否重要,还可以开头加上urgent 或者fyi (for your information,供参考),如:urgent: submit your report today!

e-mail 一般使用非正式的文体,因此正文(body)前的称呼(salutation)通常无须使用诸如"dear mr. john"之类的表达。在同辈的亲朋好友或同事间可以直呼其名,但对长辈或上级最好使用头衔加上姓。如:tommy 或者mr. smith。

e-mail 文体的另外一个特点是简单明了,便于阅读,太长的内容可以以附件的方式发出。一个段落大多仅由一到三个句子组成。信尾客套话(complimentary close)通常也很简明。常常只须一个词,如:"thanks", "best", "cheers",不需要用一般信函中的"sincerely yours"或"best regards"。称呼和正文之间,段落之间,正文和信尾客套话之间一般空一行,开头无须空格。如:

其一是记关键词,如时间、地点、人物、事件等。

其二是记关键短语,主题句等。

其三是听完后说出故事梗概,不要很长,两三句即可。

这样既训练了听力,也进行了写作的辅助训练。

基于新目标教材的要求,教师可根据学生的实际情况,分析教材内容,在进行对话训练时找准切入点,引导学生完成由说到写的自然过渡。例如,在九年级第一单元的采访这一环节时,要求学生在小组内边问问题边做笔记,然后把采访的结果报告给全班同学,这样在口语训练的同时也进行了写作训练。

量,促使他们积累写作材料。此外,改写也是提高写作的有效方法。改写包括对短文的改写和缩写,也包括对话、图标和短文间的转换,这种训练方式对学生写作能力要求较高。对此,教师首先要选材,要选那些贴近生活、贴近社会、贴近教材的与学生所掌握的词汇和语法难度相适应的内容,然后引导学生在尊重原文或者在不改变作者意图的前提下,可以用文章中的原句,当然更好是使用自己的话,灵活地进行各种转换。

总之,写作能力的培养与提高,不是一朝一夕就能办到的,应贯穿于英语教学的全过程,教师要由浅入深、由易到难,循序渐进地引导学生进行写作训练,使学生感到有话想说,有话可说,实事求是地表达自己的感受和情感,从而逐渐提高写作能力

英文写作之“三大黄金定律”

人们进行写作的一般目的是向读者传递信息、介绍情况,或阐述作者对某一主题所持的观点,用英文写作也不例外。为让读者更好地理解所传递的信息,使用英文进行写作时,行文一定要注意做到清晰、准确、简洁这三点,这就是公认的英文写作“三大黄金定律”。 定律之一:清晰

文章的清晰体现在读者能够很容易理解作者讲述的内容。为保证所写文章清晰明了,写作时有两点一定要加以注意:

一是越确切具体越好。在这一方面,作者首先应明确了解自己所要传达的信息、读者的范围及特点,然后再选择相关信息,采用某种文体格式传递给读者。也就是说,写作必须要以特定读者为对象,以让读者能够明确接受作者所传递的信息为宗旨。尽量以客观陈述为主,少主观臆测推断;尽量明确无误表达,少模棱两可评论,这是使文章清晰确切的写作准则。 二是组织结构富有逻辑性。文章结构富有逻辑性会让读者很轻松地读懂作者要表达的思想内容。文章的这种逻辑性可以通过采用从一般到具体、从“全景”到细节、从问题的定义到分析再到提出解决方案等多种方式来体现。

定律之二:准确

要使文章语义表达准确,首先要尽量不要在学术文章中出现“大概、也许”之类模棱两可的词语,避免出现容易让人困惑和误解的词语和表达法;其次,要尽量避免使用那些有多种含义的词语和表达法。例如:singapore is a fine country. 这句话中的fine一词有多种含义,

如“好的、细小的、罚款”等。日常生活中这样使用没有问题,但在写作时一定要避免使用这种容易产生歧义的多义词。

定律之三:简洁

直截了当、切中要点是保证文章简洁的最好写作形式。与中文写作相比,英文写作非常强调直奔主题、简单明快的写作风格。例如,在写作一个段落时,常常将概括段落主要内容的主题句(topic sentence)作为段落的首句,以便让读者迅速明确本段要讲述的内容。另外,写作时尽量将每个句子写得简短一些,少用或不用冗长的复合句。切记:短小精练的句子表达的意思才强而有力。

英文 e-mail 的写作要领

首先,必须要在标题(heading)栏的“收件人(to)”框中输入收信人的e-mail 地址。“主题(subject)”框的内容应简明地概括信的内容,短的可以是一个单词,如greetings;长的可以是一个名词性短语,也可以是完整句,但长度一般不超过35个字母。“主题”框的内容切忌含糊不清。像news about the meeting 这样的表达,应改为tomorrow's meeting canceled。一般来说,只要将位于句首的单词和专有名词的首字母大写即可。另外一种较为正规的格式可将除了少于5个字母的介词、连接词或冠词之外的每一个单词的首字母大写,如:new e-mail address notification. 视信的内容是否重要,还可以开头加上urgent 或者fyi (for your information,供参考),如:urgent: submit your report today!

e-mail 一般使用非正式的文体,因此正文(body)前的称呼(salutation)通常无须使用诸如"dear mr. john"之类的表达。在同辈的亲朋好友或同事间可以直呼其名,但对长辈或上级最好使用头衔加上姓。如:tommy 或者mr. smith。

e-mail 文体的另外一个特点是简单明了,便于阅读,太长的内容可以以附件的方式发出。一个段落大多仅由一到三个句子组成。信尾客套话(complimentary close)通常也很简明。常常只须一个词,如:"thanks", "best", "cheers",不需要用一般信函中的"sincerely yours"或"best regards"。称呼和正文之间,段落之间,正文和信尾客套话之间一般空一行,开头无须空格。如:
